Purpose of This Disclaimer

This disclaimer governs all health-related content, reports, scores, insights, and recommendations provided through the AevArk platform and website. Please read it carefully before using our services. It supplements our Terms of Service, which govern your use of the Service.

1. AevArk Is Not a Veterinary Practice

AevArk, Inc. is a data and technology company, not a licensed veterinary practice and not a diagnostic laboratory. AevArk does not employ licensed veterinarians for the purpose of diagnosing, treating, or managing the health of your companion animal.

No content, report, score, recommendation, insight, or communication from AevArk — whether delivered through our website, platform, email, SMS, or any other channel — constitutes veterinary advice, veterinary diagnosis, or a professional veterinary opinion.

2. Role of Independent Veterinary Clinics and Laboratories

All veterinary services in the aēv program — including physical examinations, sample collection, diagnosis, and treatment — are performed by independent, licensed veterinary clinics and veterinarians, and all laboratory testing is performed by independent diagnostic laboratories. These providers are independent third parties, not employees or agents of AevArk. The quality and outcome of each veterinary examination are the sole responsibility of the veterinarian who performs it; the quality and outcome of laboratory work are the responsibility of the veterinarian and the diagnostic laboratories. AevArk is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or professional judgment of any veterinary clinic, veterinarian, or laboratory.

3. AevArk Reports Are Informational Tools Only

The AevArk Health Report, the Body Resiliency Score and other health scores, insights, and all related outputs are designed exclusively as:

• Educational resources to help pet owners understand their companion animal's health data.
• Informational tools to support and facilitate conversations with licensed veterinarians.
• Longitudinal tracking instruments to monitor trends in clinical biomarkers over time.

These outputs are NOT intended to be, and must NOT be used as, a substitute for professional veterinary examination, diagnosis, or treatment.

4. Always Consult a Licensed Veterinarian

Before making any health-related decision for your companion animal — including changes to diet, medication, supplements, activity level, exercise, lifestyle changes, or veterinary care frequency — you should consult the licensed veterinarian who has physically examined your animal and reviewed its complete health history.

AevArk's reports are intended to complement, not replace, the Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) established under applicable veterinary licensing law. No VCPR is created between you and AevArk by using our website, platform, or reports.

5. Biomarker Reference Ranges and Interpretations

Reference ranges and clinical thresholds displayed in AevArk reports are based on published veterinary literature and established laboratory standards. Individual animals may vary significantly from population norms. A value flagged as “out of range” or “watch” in an AevArk report does NOT necessarily indicate disease, and a value within range does not guarantee health. Results may reflect false positives or false negatives, and cannot rule out disease. Only a licensed veterinarian can interpret laboratory results in the context of your specific animal's physical presentation and history.

6. Health Scores and Longevity Trends

The Body Resiliency Score and other AevArk health scores and trend indicators are statistical estimates derived from peer-reviewed, population-level veterinary research — not direct measurements of your individual animal's biology. A score is meaningful only within the boundaries of the underlying research; if your animal falls outside the populations studied (for example by breed, age, or health condition), the score may be less reliable or unavailable. Scores carry a margin of error, the underlying science is evolving, and a change in a score is not by itself clinically meaningful. These outputs are not clinical diagnoses, prognoses, or life-expectancy guarantees, and they do not measure or predict how long your animal will live. Individual animal outcomes may differ materially from any trend or projection indicated by AevArk.

7. Not a Monitoring or Alerting Service

AevArk makes reports available on the platform and notifies you when they are ready. AevArk does not monitor your animal's results on your behalf and is not a monitoring or alerting service. You are responsible for reviewing your animal's reports and for following up with your veterinarian about anything in them. Any effort by AevArk or your veterinary clinic to flag a concerning result is a best-efforts courtesy, not a guarantee — a flag is a prompt to seek professional care, not a diagnosis, and the absence of a flag is not clearance.

8. AI Features (When Available)

The AevArk platform may include AI-powered features, such as automated analysis of health data and a conversational assistant, introduced over time. AI-generated content is produced automatically, may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated, and — unless we expressly state otherwise — is not reviewed by a veterinarian before it is shown to you. It is educational and wellness information only and is never veterinary advice. Confirm any AI-generated information with your licensed veterinarian before acting on it.

AevArk's platform is designed and operated consistent with the principles established for non-device clinical decision support (CDS) software, including the transparency and interpretability standards that distinguish informational tools from regulated medical devices. Our reports are intended to display, analyze, and communicate clinical data to support — not replace — the independent clinical judgment of a licensed veterinarian.

11. Limitation of Liability for Health Decisions

AevArk expressly disclaims any and all liability arising from health decisions made by any person based on the content of AevArk's reports, scores, insights, or recommendations. Any decision to act or refrain from acting on the basis of AevArk's outputs is made at the sole discretion and risk of the user. This section is subject to, and should be read together with, the Limitation of Liability in our Terms of Service.
